Blog » Oyster Bay Lodge

This is a wonderful place to chill out after a hectic 10 days travelling up from the Cape.  There are no time constraints in your day and the Reserve is your's to explore on foot or on horseback.  Laze by the pool, take a work along the beach and just enjoy the magic of the moment.   I did and it was wonderful.

Oyster Bay Lodge has recently been graded a Birder Friendly establishment by BirdLife South Africa. So for all you 'twitchers' out there, this would be another reason to experience this 'must visit destination'. They even have a local 'fundi' by the name of Mike who will be glad to help you expand your birdlist! Their count at the moment is over 150 different species.

Exciting news: A Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence has just been awarded to this beautiful Lodge with a score of 4.5 out of 5. Commendations from satisfied guests have enabled them to receive this accolade and re-inforces my own wonderful experience. Congratulations.
